Lets start with the fact that Tony has been an employee with Central Freight Lines for over 34 years.
He has been driving with Central for 32 years and 4.2 million miles with no chargeable driving accident in all those miles and all those years.
This year Tony has been chosen by the Texas Motor Transportation Association as the 2010
"Texas Driver Of The Year".
Tony was honored at the Awards Luncheon during TMTAs Annual Management Conference on July 28 in San Antonio, TX.

Sandy Menzdorf Earns 5 Million Miler Award After 48 Years and 7 Months
Sandy Menzdorf learned to drive at the age of eight in his Grandfathers nineteen year old, 1934 Ford pickup.
Forty-eight years and seven months later, Sandy is still driving for Central Freight Lines, the first company he ever worked for.
What is so amazing about Sandys story is that he has accomplished what few professional drivers are able;
he has logged over 5 million miles of accident free driving to earn him the 5 Million Miler Award.

His Father drove for Central, his brother and uncle were all part of the Central Family.
At age 16, once his Dad signed a release, Mr. Woody Callan, the original owner of Central Freight, welcomed Sandy into the fold.

Gary Babbitt, a 33 year professional driver with Central Freight Lines in Dallas has achieved the 4 Million Miler Award.
Gary Babbitt drove his first mile in Hamilton, Texas, a 2.9 square mile town with a population of 2,700.
